Dicky James and the Blue Flames

We make the blues taste good!

Memphis & More

After returning from the ocean deep we have wasted no time in getting back in the swing. Get it? Back in the swing. Huh? Ok. Ok. This Friday, January 25, starting at 8 pm CST we’re making our first appearance at the Castle Finn Winery in Marshall, IL  Actually it’s not in Marshall but it’s close. Here are the directions.

Head north on Route 1 out of Marshall, (watch for Blue State Sign) in approx. 5.5 miles. Turn left (west) on 200N (Bell Ridge Road). Follow this black top road through a right hand curve (1375 E. Preston Rd), then a left curve (225N).  Follow 225N until you come to 1200 E, and turn left (south). Winery will be approx 1 mile on your left.

If that is indecipherable use your GPS or a map. Use a map? You remember. It’s a sheet of paper with lines and pretty colors.

Saturday night at 9 pm we’re at Show Me’s in Terre Haute. There was a little confusion about this last week but this is correct. Always a great time here.

Next week we head to Memphis to compete in the International Blue Challenge for the second consecutive year. We’ll be playing Wednesday and Thursday and, hopefully, Friday and Saturday at an as yet undisclosed venue and undisclosed time. We’ll find out Wednesday morning.  I’ll try to get it posted on Facebook. Busy, Busy, Busy. That’s the way we like it.

“If you don’t know the Blues there’s no point in picking up a guitar and playing rock and roll or any other form of popular music”

Keith Richards
